Plan A Visit - 2021

Connect with us, service times, what to expect at Norwood Baptist Church RI

Getting to know each other...

Here at Norwood Baptist Church RI, we want to help eliminate those "first-time jitters" by answering some of your questions up front.

We care about you, not what you’re wearing. We don’t care who you voted for in the last election or how many tattoos you have. We’re a church full of imperfect, broken people who are coming to know Jesus and serving others together, and regardless of your story, we believe you belong!

Some tips:

All 10:30 am worship services are live-streamed on Facebook & YouTube.

Our current worship services are as follows:

The 10:30 am services are currently held in our sanctuary. The entrance is located in the front of the building. Please use the double doors, to the left at the top of the steps. (When facing the front of the building on the street)

If would like to attend in person, we ask that you do a self-check before coming. If you are experiencing any symptoms of illness, please visit us next week.

Currently, our mask policy is as follows:

If you are vaccinated, and you feel comfortable, you may attend without a mask.

However, we ask that you bring a mask for a couple of reasons:

Should you change your mind.

If someone you know/meet still needs to wear theirs, then please put yours on to protect them.

We ask that you do not start a masked debate.

No one knows where anyone is on their walk.

We can demonstrate our love (like Jesus) for one another by continuing to protect those who may be vulnerable, like the immune-compromised, and currently children.

Remember that we are called to love one another.

No matter what the circumstance.

If you cannot join us in person:

Our 10:30 am service will be live-streamed on

Facebook or Youtube. (Facebook only when at the parks)

If you’ve never worshipped with us before,

here’s what you should expect…

Nice people. We LOVE it when someone comes for the first time. Even by Facebook. But, we don’t always recognize first-time guests. So many of the people who come are still relatively new, so feel free to say, “This is my first time,” in the comment box. We will be sure to give you a "good morning" or "welcome".

If you feel confident to meet in the building, please help us get to know you by filling in the connect card below.

A casual atmosphere. We care about YOU, not what you’re wearing. If you are at home, wear something comfy. If you are in person, feel free to wear jeans.

Our dress code is simple: wear something.

A fun, safe environment for kids! Kids love it here at Norwood! During this current season, we encourage parents to "bring" their children to worship. Teach them to participate in some of the elements that the kids can take part in. Invite them to sing, pray, and listen to the children's message found at the end of the service.

Children learning! Due to the sensitive nature and protection of all children, if you have a child and they would like to participate in our current online classes/groups, please contact the church office for further information. (Day, time, and invite code will be provided)

Practical teaching. Sermons will connect the Bible to everyday life. Music is lively and uplifting. During worship don’t be surprised when some people raise their hands as a sign of praise while singing, but don’t feel obligated to do so yourself. We create an atmosphere of freedom in our services. We also encourage you to participate in one of our discipleship classes. (click here for all the ways you can get involved in a bible study)

Giving. As a guest, we don't expect you to contribute anything financially. However, if you feel moved to help like the members who call NBCRI home, there is a variety of ways to give. You can volunteer your time in a number of ways or you can financially support NBCRI. If you would like to give online, click here.

If you have questions about faith, becoming a Christian, or are looking for more information about the church, click here to join STARTING POINT. (an online private Facebook group) If you don't have Facebook, please contact the church office and Pastor George would love to set up a zoom meeting with you.

Keep in mind....people are attending, and even leading Norwood Baptist Church RI who are not perfect.

In fact, perfect people are not allowed.

We’re a community of people who don’t have it all together but are discovering what it means to find life in Jesus, to follow him wholeheartedly, to break free from our past, and to walk in victory together.

That’s who we are.

So tell us about yourself. We would love to connect with you.
