As many of you know Mike Kelley is battling a disease called Pulmonary Fibrosis. The only known cure is a lung transplant. It is a long shot still but he is determined to go for it. Mass General is now doing various tests and is screening him for addition to the national list.
IF he gets on the list, it then becomes a waiting game to see what lungs become available nationwide. It could be two weeks after getting on the list or it could be two years.
There is a six week hospital stay after the transplant surgery THEN Mike comes home. That’s where you may be able to help. The hospital requires that there be a “Care team” available to help the family during the first six weeks. It could be just sitting with Mike or it may be bringing him to Boston if family is not able.
If you are willing to be a part of Mike's Care Team please fill out the area below. This would be on an "as needed" basis and of course only if you're available at that particular time.
