What Does God Want Me To Do? What is required of me?

First God wants you to ADMIT that he has not been first place in your life and ask him to forgive your sins.

Next BELIEVE that Jesus died to pay for your sins and that HE rose again, and is alive today.

ACCEPT God's free gift of salvation. Don't try to earn it!

INVITE Jesus Christ to come into your life and be the director (LORD) of your life.

Not sure how? Pray this simple commitment prayer:

"Dear Jesus, thank You for making me and loving me, even when I've ignored You and gone my own way. I realize I need You in my life and I'm sorry for my sins. I ask You to forgive me. Thank you for dying on the cross for me. Please help me to understand it more. I want to follow You from now on. Please come into my life and make me a new person inside. I accept Your gift of salvation. Please help me to grow as a Christian."

So you're ready to take the next steps in your Christian walk. AWESOME!!

However, you have questions. We get that.

So what exactly is baptism?

This is where we help celebrate people (such as yourself) desiring to take the next step of demonstrating their faith in Jesus through baptism. Baptism by immersion symbolizes the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus and is your public declaration that you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. Baptism does not save you but shows the world that you have already been saved. And while baptism is not required for salvation, it is a biblical command and demonstrates your love and obedience to Christ.

(Matthew 3:11 -  “I baptize you with[a] water for repentance. But after me comes one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with[b] the Holy Spirit and fire. (Spoken by John the Baptist)

(Luke 3:21-22 - When all the people were being baptized, Jesus was baptized too. And as he was praying, heaven was opened (22) and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: "You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased."
